Andy retired from the Metropolitan Police after 30 years service. Policing all over London gave him a head start when completing the all London Knowledge to become a black taxi driver. Living and working in London all his life has given him a tremendous passion for this great city. Taking that passion forward Andy completed the Worshipful Company of Hackney Carriage Drivers Taxi Guides course adding knowledge to his vast experience.

Christopher is proud of his 34 year career with the Metropolitan Police including serving as Borough Commander of Greenwich. While serving in one iconic London role as a police officer, he always aspired to a second as a London “cabbie”. He passed the ‘Knowledge of London’ and took the Worshipful Company of Hackney Carriage Drivers Taxi Guides course to deepen his appreciation of the city that he loves. He is a member of the Company and a Freeman of the City of London. He believes that every day brings a new opportunity to learn more about London. In the words of Dr Samuel Johnson “….when a man is tired of London, he is tired of life; for there is in London all that life can afford.”

After a rich and fascinating career in the Metropolitan Police as a Detective, Chris joined London’s finest and became a London Cabbie. It was a real revelation to him, completing the Worshipful Company of Hackney Carriage Drivers Taxi Guide course; as London’s diverse and compelling history has always been of immense interest to him.
He loves to take people on tours in his London cab, including Royal London, the stunning Iconic London tour, which incorporates all the major sites that this incredible city has to offer. The opportunity to show people the parts of this amazing city that most Londoners have never seen is fabulous!
