Lucinda Dickens

Lucinda Dickens Hawksley is an author, broadcaster and public speaker. She has written more than 20 books, on subjects ranging from biography, art history, social history and the history of London to books on facial hair and the dangers of arsenic in Victorian wallpaper. She has also written two books about her great great great grandfather, Charles Dickens and the biography of his artist daughter Katey. Lucinda is an expert on the lives of the Dickens family and a Patron of the Charles Dickens Museum in London. She is also a regular guest lecturer at the National Portrait Gallery in London and lectures at universities, libraries, galleries and festivals all over the world.
